Brett “Mon” Garling

…is a multi-award-winning artist, has works in private and corporate collections world-wide, including HRH Prince Edward, comedian John Cleese, The Rural Press, Australian Maritime Museum and Parramatta Stadium, just to name a few.

Mon was born in Pambula, 1970, and spent his childhood in rural towns of Lightning Ridge, Narrabri and Dubbo where his love of the bush and its characters were nurtured. These themes now play a dominant role in his work.

Mon takes his inspiration from nature, working directly from life and sharing his love of the natural world with others.

Places are limited to ensure optimal learning. Tuition payment is required in full at enrolment to secure a place.

Our Learning Agreement and Terms and Conditions

  • The learner is asked to participate in a cooperative manner, showing respect to the tutor and fellow learners. The group will engage in practical studio-based activities and participants must show care for the equipment supplied and the premises occupied. Learners will be shown how to clean and store equipment and will be expected to do so, by way of good studio practice.

    In a creative environment, coercive or aggressive behaviour is unacceptable. The learner should report concerns on these points to the tutor or parent immediately should they occur. Breaches may result in the learner forfeiting their place in the program.

  • From time to time we take photos during class of students and artworks. These photos are used for ArtClubDub’s promotional purposes such as press advertising, brochures, social media, editorials and website. These photos will never be sold and will be used exclusively by and for ArtClubDub. As a Condition of Enrolment your consent is implied. Should you not wish for us to take and use photos of you, your child or your artwork please notify us in writing.

    Cancellation up to two weeks before the commencement of the class will incur a $50 admin fee.

    Cancellation after two weeks before classes start can be a credit toward another class.
